I wish to expressing my deepest appreciation to Gary who took me under his wing on Friday night after we downloaded the program. Gary you are a very good teacher/trainer.

I had only downloaded Meta Trader about 1 hour prior to getting the Priceline exe. Joe and Chuck were great by staying on the forum...but frankly I just could not type out my question clear enough or fast enough...so when Gary offered to help...I skyped him and for over an hour after the webinar he helped my get up and running as well as giving me some meta coaching/ training.

Here is a list of the default colors for the overlay program. I do not know how to change them.

Solid Green = Key numbers
Solid Blue = Bias numbers
Solid Peach = ST 21 High and Low
Dashed Peach = ST21 close and ST21 center point - there are 2 lines
Purple Dash, Dot, Dot = MT21 center point
Yellow Dash, Dot, Dot = LT18 center point
Maroon long Dash = S1, S2, S3
Maroon long Dash = R1, R2, R3
Orange Dash = Pivot
Light Blue Dash, Dot along with Light Purple Dash, Dot lines = M2/M4 or M1/M3 (displayed) - M2/M4 in Light Blue and M1/M3 in light purple

Hi Gary,

The overlay pricelines can be edited, such as widening the Bias and Key numbers, changing their colors, etc. After I do this they stay changed when moving from chart to chart, but when I logoff of MT4 and then back on the changes aren't saved. This is also true of any other changes I have made, such as adding text, charting the channels, etc.

Is there a way to save the edits made in the charts when the overlay is applied? It was suggested on the the webinar Monday night that saving as a template would work, but when I try this and then load the template it just loads the overlay without the edits.

Gary, templates willonly save indicators, but PROFILES WILL SAVE THE COMPLETE CHART. Be careful or you will get so many profiles you won't be able to identify them. Save them with the same name simplifies this method.

Unfortunately I missed the live session last night. On the horizontal line issue. The price lines are deleting horizontal lines that we (the individual user) have previously drawn on our charts to mark things like previous support - resistance, channels, etc.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone here on the forum, I finally got the overlay to work :D

I was wondering what everyone thinks about the following;

Currently the program only shows the line "name" when going over it with your mouse or when right clicking to get the description, ie Pivot, Key, Bias etc.
If the "name" of the line is entered into the Description field under the Common tab then one would have the "name" displayed on each line on screen.
I know the entire OU Forex team has already done soooo much to make the Overlay Program such an excellent feature, but I do think this could be a further enhancement ????

Any thoughts...:rolleyes:

No disrespect intended, but I expect (and hopefully deliver in my businesses) under promises and over delivery. It seems you continue to be plagued by technology and infrastructure not delivering on the commitments. I have hung in here since early March hoping it would all come together, but I am becoming skeptical it ever will. I sincerely hope I am wrong- but time will tell.

I have lost the price overlays again tonight. This happened last night and I was able to delete the original overlay from the indicators list and reinsert it. I sent your e-mail to Chuck who will pass it on to programmer.... I visited with programmer before reading this post... We are in Beta test and UPGRADES will be happening in a consistent basis... this WILL sometimes disrupt the program

I would wait till opening of market Sunday and attmept to reinstall

Price Lines installation information has been placed in the monthly archives and in the getting started area under OU 4X Price Lines Installation.

Please review my friend if needed and once again we will cover any and all questions Monday.

The whole of last week I had no problem with the overlay program, since this morning I could not get it to work. After uninstalling it and re-installing three times I decided to check for the updated version. After installing it again from the updated version it is now working perfectly again. Three Cheers to that!

If I may make a suggestion, would it be possible to place a section of the forum or maybe in the getting started pages on the site (under the price overlay section) that would alert us of new versions so that when we experience a problem then we can just go and run an update as they get released.
(or maybe even on the reader... just as you send us alerts now on a new pending trade, maybe you can send us an alert of a new update on the overlay???? Don't know if this is at all possible???)

We had upgrade last week and shared in class.... Since we are in beta test, the programmer controls ALL upgrades without me knowing in advance

This saves time so all clients have upgrades.

There is a plethora of info on website including Chuck doing another video on the OUFX price line program.

When we know about update, we will share in class and continue to upgrade videos to help all clients.

Thanks for rolling out the priceline program. It does help in eliminating some of the chart work in plotting the numbers. I have some questions and an enhancement request.

1) I notice that the priceline overlay uses LT 17 and MT 21 data instead of current LT 18 and MT 22 data to calculate the mid-point. That's different from what we get in the Compressing and Compacting Channel report. Is it just for testing purpose?

2) Some of the brokers' MT4 platforms have an extra candle/bar on Sunday. That has dramatically shifted the mid-points. I have compared 2 different MT4 brokers platform and here's what I have found.

Interbank FX (chart time based on GMT causing an extra candle to display on Sunday) LT 17 Center=1.3507, MT 21 Center=1.3390

ForexMeta/FXDD (start 00:00 at 5 p.m. EST or the beginning of a new 24-hour trading session) LT 17 Center=1.3303, MT 21 Center=1.4036

I think this is a bug that needs the be fixed. I have attached screenshots to illustrate the differences that I have seen.

Enhancement request:
I notice that the priceline indicator deletes horizontal lines and text objects that I have drawn on the chart when I change the chart timeframe. For example, I use the horizontal lines to put the channels and buy/sell recommendation on the chart. If I change from a M15 to H1 timeframe, I no longer see the lines that I have put on the chart. That's just a hassle to re-draw the lines.
My temporary work-around is to save my work as a template so that I don't lose anything. But I would like to see the priceline indicator only delete the objects it has added to the chart and not anything else.

00 at 5 pm est is where your having issues as the 24 hour session is different then 24 hour session above with other broker, this would cause problems my friend - Seems FXDD is allowing you as retail trader to participate in markets one hour earlier then other retail brokers, use their numbers if you trade during that one hour only of opening of markets and then use other platform -- seems a solution that benefits you as a trader ==============================

I have had this problem since the first day of release but decided to table the problem for a while and wait for the initial bugs to be worked out. I am now revisiting the task and I have read through all the posts to see if there might be an answer to my problem but there isn't.

My problem: Everything seems to download and install fine but when I restart MT4 platform (have tried FX Pro, IBFX, MT Forex) I am not asked for my user name and if I try to access the EA, it freezes up my platform and closes. I am using Vista OS and have tried uninstallation and reinstall as well as logging out of the platform and relogging back in.

We spent two entire classes helping masses install program and here is solution from last night class as we still have small number of traders fighting issues.

Sorry you are having trouble with the program.

Please verify that the Allow DLL box is checked in your MT4 platform. (Tools/Options/Expert Advisors)

When you installed the program, you should have placed your MT4 program directory in the Install Location box and the program should have placed a file in that directory like this: C:\Program Files\YOUR_MT4_DIRECTORY\experts\indicators\OU_For ex_pricelines.ex4

Please let me know if that is there and what MT4 program you are using.

As a beginner, you should trade the pairs that are most active during your trading session. So if you are trading the Asian session, focus on JPY crosses. If you trade the European forex session, trade the EUR crosses.

What pairs have you tried? Have you had any successes with any of them?

Hi Denise,
I had the same problem as you. I installed the overlay program on 2 computers, but I could'nt install on the same computer on two different accounts. If you have several demo accounts-brokers on the same computer the overlay program goes only to one of them. I have one overlay priceline program on a demo on my laptop and the second one on a desktop on another demo acount. Hope I answer your question. In any case wait for Chuck and Joe's comments.

I don't know what happens with my 4X Price line overlay program. Everytime I open my MT4 platform it alerts me that the version I am using is outdated I click yes to update but it never ends. When I open the MT4 it start all over again. (I select the correct directory for 4X price line to go Metatrader/expert/indicator)
Please help!

I am having the same problem with the Pricelines Program that you have - it was working before but now the program says this version of Pricelines is outdated and when you try to upgrade it goes into an upgrade loop but never upgrades. Do you have a solution?

Hello,

price line overlay update stuck in a loop, asking to update then updates,then asks,then updates, etc. How do I fix this never ending cycle. It is also doing the same thing for the trade manager. Comments anyone please?

As a beginner, you should trade the pairs that are most active during your trading session. So if you are trading the Asian session, focus on JPY crosses. If you trade the European forex session, trade the EUR crosses.

What pairs have you tried? Have you had any successes with any of them?

Hoping someone can help.

I joined the forex mastery yesterday and uploaded the OU_Forex_pricelines indicator.
Used it to a degrree of success without the having the other indicators as yet. However this evening, it hass updated and now it keps giving the error message stating that my ID is not accepted.
I'd be grateful if anyone can help out with this.
