I am new to this service and really signed up to get the Services actual trading picks - I see there were 4 trades in March, but none since then - I have started another thread asking how often we should expect to get actual trade ideas but have received no responses - should we expect 1 trade a month, 5, 1 every 2 months?? a pretty simple question, but so far no answers - why have a position manager if there are no positions to manage??
I love what I hear about this service but am waiting to see it in action

Hello,
If you go to the home page and click on Daily Reports it will give you a list of trades to participate in each night. These trades are the trades that Forex Joe writes and is looking at for that 24 hour period. He breaks them down into three (3) channels, breakout channel (very patient) current wide channel (patient) and compressed channel (looking at now). He also supplies the price points and direction of trade in the reports. These trades are for practice. If you study the price points and direction against the bar / candlestick charts you can see what he is doing. Hope this helps.

Thanks - I have looked at that but am more interested in the actual trades that get posted to the portfolio manager and it seems as if there have been no new trades since March which is quite some time - just trying to get handle on how often trades get posted there

Hello Islander,
I have been a student of Joe's since 11/07 and I can confirm what Pisterado said. Use the report recommendations in a demo account along with the bias/ key numbers as well as Fibanacci and you will become more familiar with the currency pair you are stalking. Plot the channels and see what happens over the course of a day then a week and on. Also keep note of the news events happening and correspond them to the numbers. It is all about the numbers!

Hi IslandTrader,
I am also a bit disappointed that the position manager has no trade for the entire month of April. Last Tuesday, FOREX Joe did mention that he's been busy working on the project for getting the overlay of his Bias and Key numbers on MT4. So he has not been able to focus on position manager.

Ricky

While the position manager is an indicator to show success, a successfull trader needs to be able to use the tools available to determine their own trade. Noone can tell you when to place your trade, that would entail hiring a service to trade for you. There isn't always a right or wrong direction, positive trades can be made either way depending on entry. The guidelines and tools are being provided, it is up to you to make the most of them. There is no easy out in learning to trade the FOREX.

Hi Ronda,
I do agree with you that we all have to do our own push-ups and learning how to trade is just like everything else --> we have to put in our own efforts. However, I want to point out that:
1) One of the main selling point for this OU subscriber service is to gain "Members-Only private website with access to our custom built Position Tracker which will track and monitor automatically the positions we’ve called, and the different profits targets and stops for each trade opportunity." (copied directly from the sales page)
2) Position Manager is indeed an additional learning tool for us also. Well, I will be the first to admit that I do have the mentality of having someone to hand me a "fish". But if you are coming from the perspective of learning, there are things that we can learn from when there are trades open by Joe.
For example:
1. What's the reason that Joe entering into the trade at that time?
2. Would I have done the same if Joe did not put up a trade in the position manager?
3. How did the trade work out? What did I learn from the trade?
e.t.c.
I understand Joe has done tremendous things for all of us in the last 2 months for getting OU FOREX to be one of the best education portal. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. But I still want to see some trades (at least 1 or 2) being put up in the position manager in May as that is part of the service.
FOREX Joe: I hope you don't mind that I am being direct and a bit pushy. :-)
Thanks,
Ricky

Ricky -
you are not being pushy you are just asking for what was being advertised as I am doing - this is sounding more and more like a bait and switch

Hi folks,
Don't be too frustrated as the daily reports highlight where trades should be taken. I was also waiting for trade recommendations when I noticed Joe referring in the last 2 weeks to previous day's recommendations in subsequent reports, and showing what could have been done. See the week-end recommendations from where I generated Plans A, B & C for both the Euro & Cable. The plan C was triggered in the Euro for about 122 pips total. The market reversed and triggered plan A for another 130 pips with the GT still running. The Cable was initially triggered this AM for a 42 pip loss but was re-triggered again this PM and is currently sitting on 90 pips profit. This is a total of 252 pips in one day, with GT still running and another 90 pips plus potential in another trade.
I am sure Joe will add trades to the position manager but when I consider the time it takes me to review the reports, calculate the probability factors for the pairs not currently covered by Joe, then I can imagine the amount of effort that goes into the production of the various reports the team sends us with the weekly webinars. I am sure since things are now settled and running smoothly, we can expect Joe's trades from this week.

Hi,
I do agree that some trades in position manager will help in the learning process.
I'd love to see how the trades in the Trend Report are translated in actual trades in the position manager.
That's because I'm having lots of losing trades following the TReport being stoped out.
Since I work, I usually put the orders from the Trend Report and go to bed.
And sometimes my entry point is trigered and pair reverses and stoped me out before went in the predicted direction.
Another doubt I'm facing is where to put my TP1 and TP2 reading the TReport. I mean, should I put my TP2 in the Clear Price or put it 75 pips?

Howdy all,
Ricky, I also believe that there is much learning to be had by getting a chance to answer the three questions you propose in Item 2.
Thanks for spelling it out clearly.

Henry
